Brian Gallagher’s first solo show in Dublin opened at The Crow Gallery in Temple Bar last Tuesday. Encompassing the varied strands of his artistic career the exhibition features his work - paintings, scraperboards and drawings.

The Mother and Daughter show – “Similar Strokes” with Clare O’Farrell and daughter Deborah Donnelly opened last week in The Bad Art Gallery. The Opening was performed by RTE personality Pat Kenny.

The ninth annual Art Ireland Art Exhibition opened today, 14th November, in the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
The exhibition has almost 200 art galleries and artists exhibiting.

On Thursday 6th of November Gormleys Fine Art in Dublin opened an exhibition of new paintings by the artist Claudio Viscardi. The exhibition attracted a great crowd and was officially opened by Bill Cullen who spoke about his own interest in Claudio’s work.

The RHA’s annual exhibition opened this evening. There are 536 artworks in this year’s exhibition, with 73 invited artists and 300 works selected from this year’s open submission section. The 2008 exhibition marks the re-opening of their new and improved facilities.

Last weekend saw the launch of Yanny Petter’s exhibition ‘Field Work’ at the Riverside Gallery, Bridgewater Centre, Arklow. This exhibition organised and curated by Olivier Cornet (Olliart) features paintings and drawings from meadows and grasslands.
The exhibition is open 30 October to 2 November and 6 November to 9 November 2008.

Chára Nagle’s second solo exhibition ‘Moments II’ was launched in ‘The Residence‘ on Stephens Green. It was attended by an A-list crowd to help Chára and her husband, Jason, celebrate this new collection of work. Most paintings were snapped up during the exhibition.
Chára’s next solo exhibition will be in September/October 2009.
