Last Thursday, 14th April, RTE announced the winners of the nationwide art competition, ARTifact. ARTifact called for the general public to create artwork based on two themes – ‘RTE as part of Irish life’ or ‘RTE of the future’. Hana Hudak, a DIT student from Maynooth in Kildare, Anne McGill from Tyrone, and the students of Lenamore National School in North Kerry, were chosen by the public as the three overall winners from a list of ten finalists.

The ten finalists were chosen by a panel of personalities from the world of art, photography and television including graffiti and street artist, Maser, photographer, Barry McCall, RTE presenter, Aidan Power, and Carol Coffey, Graphic Design Manager at RTE and President elect of The institute of Designers in Ireland.
