An exhibition by up and coming artist Francis McCrory was opened in Gormleys’ Belfast Gallery by broadcaster and art collector Eamonn Mallie. He commented “This exhibition is a challenging affair and McCrory’s works are not for the faint hearted. There is an edginess and rawness attaching to practically all of the paintings. The artist is like a swimmer racing against the architectural tide. He’s rushing to capture in oil and other media the very quintessence of many parts of a decaying city. “The dance with light and reflections is endless”, continued Mallie. “It is the work of a serious young painter who chooses not to take the least line of resistance”.
The exhibition continues until 26th March.
