Last Saturday (13th of July) The 2020 Gallery in Cork celebrated their 4th birthday with a party. Guests were serenaded by a wonderful performance from guitar player, Ian Date, as they nibbled on superb food from one of the best local eateries, Cafe Gusto and gallery artist, Alan Corbett, gave a wonderful talk about his fascinating illustrations from his Graphic Novel, The Ghost of Shandon, the first in a trilogy. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there.
The night also saw the opening of the ‘Summer Daze’ exhibition which continues until August and features new work from a selection of the gallery artists; Nora Buttimer, Alan Corbett, Anna Hearne Joe Healy, Jack Hickey, Ludmila Korol, Anne Marie McInerney, Tony O’Connor & Lily Reilly.
All who attended also very generously contributed to two nominated charities: Helium – Children’s Arts & Health and Irish Dogs for the Disabled. The gallery is an advocate for both of these charities
