The RHA‘s annual exhibition opened this evening. There are 536 artworks in this year’s exhibition, with 73 invited artists and 300 works selected from this year’s open submission section. The 2008 exhibition marks the re-opening of their new and improved facilities.
Painter Comhghall Casey won this year’s Hennessy Craig scholarship worth 12,000 euro for his painting Red Bicycle. The award is given each year to a painter under the age of 35 years who exhibits in the open submission section of the RHA Annual Exhibition.
The exhibition continues until December 13th.
