Last night (Thursday April 3rd) saw the launch of an exhibition of paintings with the theme of family and home by Achill based artist Padraig McCaul. The paintings are oil on canvas and portray ‘family’ portraits in semi-abstract way against the background of Irish cottages or Achill and Dublin landscapes. The exhibition was opened by Frances Fitzgerald TD, minister for Children and Youth Affairs.
The paintings can be seen in the Dun Laoghaire Art Gallery (1st Floor, Brian S Nolan, Georges St Upper) until April 19th.
