This group exhibition sponsored by Swedish Women’s Education Association (SWEA) brings together the work of Swedish artists Helene Hortlund (Stockholm) and Veronica Forsgren (Dublin). The exhibition draws on the heritage of Swedish Folk Art in an exploration of the innate human need to decorate and beautify our close surroundings.

A large gathering from the artistic world in Cork as well as admirers and fans of Gerrard Wyatt’s work turned out in huge numbers for the opening launch on Wednesday evening last of WYATT-RAW at the Alliance Française Gallery . The exhibition was launched by French journalist and photographer Yvan Wastiaux, who congratulated the artist on “his striking images, attention for detail and the use of mixed media”.

On Thursday 6th of November Gormleys Fine Art in Dublin opened an exhibition of new paintings by the artist Claudio Viscardi. The exhibition attracted a great crowd and was officially opened by Bill Cullen who spoke about his own interest in Claudio’s work.

178th RHA Annual Exhibition

Painter Comhghall Casey won this year’s Hennessy Craig scholarship worth 12,000 euro for his painting Red Bicycle. The award is given each year to a painter under the age of 35 years who exhibits in the open submission section of the RHA Annual Exhibition.

The gallery is having an open weekend from Friday 14th - Sunday 16th November when the gallery will be open from 11am-5pm.  The gallery is situated on the grounds of the Carlisle Health and Fitness Club in Terenure.

The offiicial opening takes place on Saturday 29th November, 6 - 8pm.

Chára Nagle and Ryan Tubridy

Chára Nagle’s second solo exhibition ‘Moments II’ was launched in ‘The Residence‘ on Stephens Green.  It was attended by an A-list crowd to help Chára and her husband, Jason, celebrate this new collection of work. Most paintings were snapped up during the exhibition.
