Last Friday evening in Monkstown saw the opening of the Lyndsay Gallery Christmas show. The exhibition has paintings by Susan Buttner, Roy Lyndsay, Douglas Ferris, Darko, Heidi Wickham, Thelma Mansfield, Rick Bentham, Paul Kavanagh, Ann Flynn, Ludmila Korol, Andrew Hood, Carole Cullen and Patrick Barry.

Thursday 10th December was the official opening of Frank O’Dea’s solo show
at The Crow Gallery, Temple Bar. The exhibition was opened by Colin Murphy
and Donal O’Dea - co-authors of the best selling book “The Feckin book of

Last Saturday saw the launch of ‘TEN’, an exhibition of new works by the award winning Dublin artist Francis Matthews at The Shelbourne Hotel.
The exhibition is curated by Cherrylane Fine Arts and was opened by celebrated artist Martin Gale R.H.A. The show continues at The Shelbourne Hotel until the 20th December 2009.

Over the last month work by The NorthWest Artists Group was on show at Markree Castle in Collooney, Co. Sligo. When the exhibition was over and the paintings taken down last Sunday, it was discovered that a painting by Marina Hamilton was missing.

David Daly’s exhibition “Where Birds Abound” opened last Saturday at the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve in Ardcavan. The show features a selection of his recently completed oil paintings as well as his renowned watercolours. It is part of the Wexford Opera Festival programme of events.
